Zentangle Summer Course EU 2026

Six Thursday’s at your own desk. Something nice from your own kitchen. The Zentangle ZIA summer course gives you twelve hours to draw, explore color, and get completely out of your head. No materials kit needed — you work with your own supplies, guided by a clear materials list you receive before each lesson.

What is the Zentangle ZIA summer course?
Zentangle is a step-by-step drawing method where you build patterns — tangles — one stroke at a time. Calm, structured, and surprisingly addictive. ZIA stands for Zentangle Inspired Art: you add color using watercolor, colored pencil, and acrylic. That’s why the results look the way they do — and why making them feels so good.
In this course we work together six evenings via Zoom. Each week a new theme, new techniques, and new tangles. We work with gems, color layers, and a Zen Button — and there’s a new product this year that you haven’t seen before. Because we had such a great response to last year’s survey, I’ve planned something extra.
What will you learn?
Each lesson builds on the previous one. You’ll pick up new tangles, develop a better feel for color, and — most importantly — the confidence to just start. Moreover, you learn not only from me but also from the other participants. Everyone draws the same thing, but no two results are alike. That’s always surprising to see.
You don’t need to be experienced. Last year several participants joined for the very first time and made beautiful work. Therefore experience is welcome, but it’s not a requirement.

- Level: Beginner and experienced — no prior Zentangle experience required
- Lessons: 6 Thursdays via Zoom, 6 PM CET / 12 PM Eastern / 11 AM Mountain / 9 AM Pacific
- Dates: July 9, 16 and 23 — August 6, 13 and 20, 2026
- Access: Indefinite access to the recorded lessons
- Materials: Lovely Materials kit, including shipping subscription deadline: June 24th)
- Communication: Every Monday before the lesson you receive the Zoom link and the materials you’ll need for that Thursday
- WhatsApp group: For questions, sharing your work, and contact with the group

What materials do you need for this Zentangle ZIA summer course?
Materials: No kit included — you receive a detailed materials list approximately three weeks before the first lesson so you have plenty of time to gather your supplies.
(Due to current US import tariffs and regulations, I’m unable to ship a materials kit to the United States. Working with your own supplies gives you the flexibility to source everything locally.)
Is this Zentangle ZIA summer course also for you if you’ve never tangled before?
Yes. It’s recommended to have followed a Zentangle Basic Course first, but it’s not a requirement. Last year complete beginners joined and made stunning results. Want to warm up first? There’s a basic workshop on July 9.
