What you learn in this Zentangle class mystical stars

You learn to draw a complex string — by hand, no guidelines, just you and your fineliner. After that, you give your gemstone depth and shine with colored pencils. The technique looks more complicated than it is. That is exactly why I am going to teach it to you.

The video is three hours long. Moreover, you receive a separate bonus video in which I draw the string again, slowly and clearly. Because sometimes you just want to go back to the beginning. Without rushing.

How this class came to be

This is a class I never planned.

I was taking a Kaleidoscope class with Henriette Robben, based on the pattern of CZT Yuko Takamasu from Tokyo. My hand went a different direction — a classic oopsie, as Maria Thomas calls it — and something completely new emerged. At home I continued, and through a second oopsie it went a different direction again.

Both Yuko and Henriette personally gave their approval to share this Zentangle online video class. A class born from the inspiration of three CZTs, an independent hand, and two happy mistakes. I find that beautiful.
